What is missed-call text-back, and is it worth it?

Missed-call text-back sends an automatic text to anyone whose call you don't answer, so they hear from you in seconds instead of calling a competitor. It's most worth it for businesses where the owner or staff are often busy with customers, like trades, salons and clinics.

What to know

US phone carriers require businesses texting from a regular local number to register first (called A2P 10DLC). Approval often takes one to two weeks, sometimes longer. Keep texts short and let people reply STOP to opt out.
